The Shinigami stood there motionless except for the swift movement of his hair due to the wind blowing it into an almost styled potion for once. Due to the time of day his hair was red and black with a slightly blue tint, similar to his eyes. As the Shinigami listened to the hollows futile words his mind went back into his recent years at the academy.
It was a cold day, cold enough for it to be called winter in the mortal world. Ice had frozen over the academy training grounds making it extremely hard for anyone to cross without falling flat on their back even if you weren’t training. Due to this safety hazard the training grounds were completely empty apart from a single student. The student was currently flat on his back due to the lack of grip from his sandals. Letting out a deep sigh which quickly condensed in front of him causing a white mist to form the Shinigami rolled onto his front and pressed his numb hands against the cold hard surface of the ice so that he could get to his knees.
Kneeling there the Shinigami’s black hair and blue was swept to one by a sudden gust of wind. The movement of his hair had revealed two perfectly blue. Gripping his training sword Locron looked straight at the white walls as he regained focus and slammed the tip of his blade into the top layers of ice so that he could pull himself up. Using what remaining strength he had left Locron finally managed to get back onto his feet only to realise that his sword was now stuck. Placing both hands on the hilt of the sword Locron began to pull. With no visible effect showing Locron fell to his knees and let his face press up against the cold wet ice.
Locron lay there on the floor for at least ten minutes motionless which caused on lookers from a nearby building to think that he had died in someway. However as Locron lay there on the ice with a numbness which seemed to be ever growing he felt another warm presence behind him as two arms reached around his neck and locked together. Turning his head around he saw two figures one of which was the young Shinigami about his age with dark blue hair and the other was his best friend Gideon. Smiling Locron was pulled by the female back to his knees so that she could hug him properly.
“Locron, are you aware you look like shit?” Gideon let out a small laugh at his own witty remark before walking over to Locron and helping him up. Meanwhile the female stayed costly attached to Locron making Gideon’s job ten times harder. When Gideon finally got Locron to his feet it was obvious that the cold weather had had a rather negative effect on Locron’s muscle movements causing them to apparently stop working. Letting out a sigh Gideon moved one of Locron’s arms around his shoulder while the female did the same with Locron’s opposite arm. Together they dragged the motionless and wet Locron to the boy’s dormitories just to the side of the training grounds.
As the three came closer to the building another three boys ran over to assist. One of which took over the female’s job leaving her with nothing to do but just tag along at the back and the other two grabbed Locron’s training legs so that they could lift him properly. As the group entered the building they moved at a rather swift pace down the hallway before opening a door and carrying him in, a couple of seconds later the three other lads left the room leaving the female free to enter. As soon as she entered the room she lunged at Locron who was now motionless on the bed and rapped her arms around him once again.
“Jesus Syra let him have some rest.” Laughing Gideon scratched the back of his head before moving over to his own bed and sitting on it. “Locron, you still look like shit.”
“I can’t look as bad as your face.” Laughing Locron wrapped his hands around Syra causing her to tighten her grip a bit more. “Plus I’m not surprised I look like shit I’m numb from head to two and I can’t feel anything.” As soon as these words left his mouth he knew he said something wrong as Syra moved her head and looked straight into Locron’s eyes with her own tear filled ones.
“B...B... But you can feel me? Can’t you?” Syra squeezed a bit more as a single tear escaped her right eye.
“Of course, you are after all crushing my ribs.” Smiling slightly Syra buried her head back in Locron’s shoulder.
The rest of the day went uneventful for Syra, Gideon and Locron due to the fact Locron was incapacitated and unable to move because Syra had fallen to sleep on him. Gideon However had left by this time due to the love filled atmosphere was killing him and other reasons which he wouldn’t let Syra know, however Locron was already aware of the reasons. As night approached Syra showed no visible signs of waking and Gideon had not reappeared in the room, probably due to the fact that Syra was till there. As night progressed Locron finally managed to pass out due to exhaustion but his beauty sleep didn’t last for long.
Shortly after Locron had fallen asleep he was woken by the sound of the alarm going off which had also awoken Syra who still hadn’t let go of Locron. Sighing he felt a small kiss of his cheek before she was forced to let go. As the both sat up an announcement was broadcasted across the entire academy.
“All students pleased proceed to the main hall, a large mass of hollows have been sighted in the main courtyard. Repeat. A large mass of hollows have been sighted in the main courtyard.” Sitting up Locron proceeded towards the window and saw that the training grounds were completely empty.
“It appears that everybody from this building has already left. We better not stick around.” Syra nodded and removed herself from Locron’s bed before proceeding towards the door. Turning to Locron she indicated for him to hurry up but he wasn’t so keen to leave without a weapon. Looking around he finally spotted Gideon’s training sword leaning against the wall. Deciding that him and Syra needed it more at this moment in time Locron grabbed the hilt of the sword and proceeded out of the building and into the still iced training grounds.
Luckily for them the training grounds was quite close to the main hall and far away from the hollows so there would be no problem. As Locron crossed the frozen stone his attention turned towards the night sky. As he looked up his eyes widened in fear because a massive hallow was heading down right in their direction. Pushing Syra away Locron raised his blade and locked the hollows oncoming attack only to be caught off guard by the ice and once again ending up on the floor.
It took a few seconds for Locron to regain focus by which time he had realised that there was something wrong. Sitting up Locron looked around the training grounds and saw no one, neither Syra nor the hollow. Using the wall to get himself up he began to look around for Syra. As he did a stray coloured patch caught his attention on the floor. It appeared to be a crimson red liquid. Finally realising what it was Locron dropped his sword in a hurry and stumbled in the diction of which the blood trail was going.
Sliding round the corner Locron dropped to his knees as he saw the blooded up remains of his girlfriend. Syra.
(end of flashback)
Now Locron was stood face to face with a hollow that sought reason and wished to live. Gripping his sword a single tear ran down his face as he gritted his teeth. Locron closed his eyes for a second before opening them. “Tell me hollow, why are you showing me mercy? When your kind didn’t show mercy to the one I loved!” Gripping his sword Locron charged the hollow and once he was on striking range he brought the fine blade down towards its head.
Kinzo witnessed as the shinigami became near-enraged by the hollow's offer of a truce. He was right in thinking the shinigami would not give up its pursuit of rightiousness. In an instant, the shinigami brought his zanpakto down towards Kinzo, who did nothing in response. The blade moved too quickly, and Kinzo knew that unarmed it would only prove futile to attempt to block such an attack. With great anger, he pulled back his right arm and lunged forward in a clawing attack. He would meet the attack head on, hopefully surviving the blow and in turn dealing a great one to the shinigami.
Sench: What the **** was that -_- Don't make me regret making you a RP mod, seriously
Kinzo: Okay, my apologies. We agreed before hand to just make this a sort of "get the feel for the system" battle, which is why I took the initiative. But it is certainly easier if you mod our battle! Won't happen again.
This is depressing, but if you guys really can't take a step without relying on the stats, fine. At this point, a singular possible outcome should not exist, since Locron can interrupt his attack, try to take it to a different angle etc. I'm going to go with the option that you both carried out your attacks to the fullest. And for the future, no need to wait for a mod unless you think one of you might be dead from the damage taken, because by doing so, you're bringing down the RP to a primitive exchange of blows, like a turn-based RPG. Like I said, there is no singular outcome of the actions you had taken this posting round, so you just pretty much murdered 80% of your RP for it
Also Locron, two things: the 50 SE you were given in this thread already do not count until you leave, and I don't know where you got the other 8 from
The shinigami's charge at his opponent was, at the very least, not well thought-out. His accusations were also pretty dumb: blaming a hollow for killing someone was the same as blaming any animal for eating. No, they did not need to eat human souls to survive, but they could resist their urge to feed even less than any living creature could resist the feeling of hunger. That's just how it was. A direct assault could probably work well against a dumb hollow, but if it could speak, it was certainly not dumb: not many hollows could, and even among those that couldn't there were many clearly intelligent ones. The humanoid creature could probably utilize its massive limbs to intercept the foolish attack of the shinigami, but instead, it allowed him to land a blow and responded with one of its own. However, that was also not the best idea, because Locron was aiming for its head. In the end, they hit each other, both suffering some damage. A deep cut was now present on the hollow's mask and, possibly, head, while the black wearing man who attacked it was thrown back with its strength.
Edit by Sench: I said they don't count yet, so they don't. Keep complaining and they're gonna meet the same fate as the 8 that you didn't get from your Soul Society topic
As the Locron’s fine blade came closer to the hollows mask he could hear nothing but the wind which blew a few dry crispy leaves between the two foes. This almost silence increased the tension in the atmosphere to an almost unbearable size for Locron but it didn’t once take his mind of his single goal; the death of the monster before him. As the blade came into contact with the hollows mask there was a single ear piecing screech which came from the friction between the two objects.
Locron’s eyes widened as he realised that the force of his attack was not nearly enough to inflict the critical attack he had been hoping for and worst of all the Hollow performed a quick counter attack as he brought his blade back for attempt number two. As the piecing claws came into contact with Locron’s chest it was quite clear that he was in over his head this time due to the fact that the sheer force behind the attack alone was enough to end him sliding backwards.
The dust slowly settled between them as a single drop if blood stained the floor below him. Taking a quick glance down to examine the cut he came to the conclusion that it was allot worse then it looked. Only a few little scratches from the claws but yet it hurt like hell. Laughing out the pain he drew his attention to the hollow in front of him and widened his stance to prepare for the hollows next attack.
“Nothing more then a flesh wound. If you want to kill me your going to have to do better then that hollow”
Kinzo screamed loudly, his mask having been pierced and his face damaged. As the mask cracked, he grabbed it momentarily with one hand. He hadn't expected that it would go through his mask. Stupid mistake. As the pain coursed through his entire body he began to shake. His feral side was taking over. "Shinigami I have given you your chance. You were not my intended target!" Yet even as he didn't wish to confront the shinigami originally, he was locked in battle now. He began to contemplate fully pursuing the feralness. It was true that devouring a shinigami seemed less than appetizing, it was certain to add more power to his reserve than just normal humans. Plus, one shinigami wouldn't taint his power, right? He didn't risk becoming a blasted arrancar from the devouring of any run of the mill shinigami, or so he believed deep down.
Roaring a loud and fearsome roar, Kinzo crouched and squared his legs, bring both claws back and charging the opponent. Though the stance was feral, he was actually approaching this with a tactical mind. He would rake at the opponent with his left claw, aiming towards his midsection. If the opponent attempted to block the claw, he would send a piercing blow with his right arm towards his throat. If the opponent then attempted to riposte or strike back, Kinzo would fully block the attack. He had no intention of being stopped, not while the shinigami kept fighting on. He would not allow a hit to land again either.
Spoiler:
Yeah I'l be honest, when I was basing my first post, it was on your stats when I thought you had 108. Thats why I played liek your attack was too fast and strong to block. But with 50 stats... It isn't too fast or strong to block, so I intend on blocking.
Sench: Actually, even with 40 speed, his attack wasn't even beyond your dodging ability, not to mention blocking. Of course, without a weapon, blocking a sword would be somewhat problematic.
Also, your profile doesn't say anything about claws. I can understand Locron making that mistake, but you should know you don't have claws
